Meet Our Team

Layne Bubb
Receptionist
Layne is from the small town of Bellingham on the Washington-Canadian border and has been living in Portland since 2012. They have wanted to work with animals for as long as they can remember. Layne started in the animal care industry as a kennel technician before moving to Portland. Not long after arriving in Portland they began working in the world of boarding and grooming, specifically grooming cats, before moving into veterinary care as a receptionist and hospital assistant. Today Layne has her lovely kitty, Personality Sphere, as well as the lovely pup, Lady the Tripod, who loves to follow on any adventure big or small. You can find Layne enjoying the finer nerd activities in life, such as DND and video games. If they aren’t working in the clinic or playing games at home they can be found in/on/around water, either paddle boarding, swimming, or trying to catch a glimpse of snakes, frogs, and salamanders. She loves everything about the Pacific Northwest, from the rainy weather to the Puget Sound and the mountains.

Arianna Ilharreguy
Lead Technician
Arianna has had a passion for animals since she was little. This love has sparked quite the adventure – just ask her about her work in the Army as a 68T. She recently moved back to Oregon in 2023 with her fur baby, Bella Grace, and kitty, Jack Daniels. Oh – and her husband came too. You can find her at home taking a nap with her babies and the occasional hike when not at work. Other human hobbies include antiquing on the weekends, exploring the PNW, and whale watching.

Stefanie Callos
Assistant
Stefanie is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with a deep passion for animals. Originally from Alaska, she made the move to Portland in 2020 to pursue her love for animal care. With a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being of our furry friends, she brings enthusiasm, compassion, and expertise to her role. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her enjoying time with her two dogs, Haku and Penny. She looks forward to providing exceptional care for your beloved pets.

Hailey Howlan
Receptionist
Hailey was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Having been around animals her whole life, it was natural for her to volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society and vet clinics. This led her to work at doggy daycare/training facilities, owning two dogs of her own, and ultimately to Roseway Vet Hospital!
When Hailey’s not at work, you can find her at the coast or in the woods exploring with her dogs.

Caitlyn Bogert
Technician
Caitlyn lived near the ocean for most of her life and has always had an admiration and vast curiosity for the sea. She hopes to someday live right on the coast with lots of animals and land. She is an avid baker and works at a food truck on the weekends. She loves collecting old leather-bound books, watching paranormal shows, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and helping bring care to all the creatures of the world. She has numerous years of emergency and critical care experience, as well as working at a few general practices in Portland and on the Oregon coast. Caitlyn is a very silly, bubbly soul with a sassy side and is someone that has maybe a little too much patience. She lives in the Mount Tabor area with her partner, Joe. They have three animals, which spend most of their time stealing and begging for their food.

Ryan Wisely
Office Manager
Ryan has been living in Portland since 2012. They moved here from Atlanta but are originally from New Orleans. They have always had a passion for animals, volunteering at a local animal shelter when they were young. They are a proud parent of two cats: Stan and Morris, whom they have had since they were kittens. Ryan is fairly new to the animal medicine field, but prior to this, they worked at a doggie daycare, which evolved into them wanting to learn more about animal medicine. When they’re not working, they’re taking care of their many plants, reading up on astrology, enjoying the vast nature of the PNW, or thrifting locally.

Rachel Lancaster
Technician
Born in Iowa, Rachel lived in various places across the U.S. before settling in the Portland Metro area with their family in 2011. Rachel spent a year working as a veterinary assistant before enrolling in the Penn Foster program to obtain their certified veterinary technician license and advance their skills. Rachel lives near Roseway with their husband, Luke, and two cats, Reginald and Arwen. When not at work or studying, Rachel enjoys video games, cross stitch, and trying new arts and crafts.

Leanna Harp
Assistant
Leanna moved from rural New York to Portland in 2018 and has been loving it ever since. As a long-time animal lover, Leanna fits into our team perfectly! She enjoys getting to meet all your four-legged fur babies and providing snuggles when needed. When not at work, Leanna loves taking her two dogs on hikes around the PNW. Georgia the Weenie and Texas the Chiweenie may have little legs, but they love to explore! When not adventuring, they can be found digging for worms in the backyard or trying to initiate another game of fetch. Other human hobbies include gardening, reading, baking, and embroidering.

Camille Riggs
Assistant
Camille lived in the Portland suburbs until she moved to California in 2015 to attend UC Davis and receive a degree in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. She loved growing up in Portland so much that she decided to move back home after getting her degree. Camille has always had a passion for animal medicine and plans to attend veterinary school in the near future.
She has a senior cat named Fifi she adopted last year. In her free time, Camille likes to spend time outdoors with her friends or snuggling with Fifi on the couch!

Kelly Mccafferty
Assistant
Kelly moved to Portland from Ohio, where she worked as a kennel attendant at a rescue and learned to share her love with many dogs as she cared for them. She also grew up with animals and has two of her own here in Portland, an Aussie Mix named Rey and a Husky named Kodi.
When Kelly’s not at work, you can find her exploring mountains, beaches, and deserts around the Pacific Northwest with her pups.

Delaney Davis, BS, CVT
Managing Partner
Delaney received her degree in organismal biology from Portland State University and has been in the veterinary field since 2006.
Delaney is a Fear-Free Certified veterinary professional, which means she has passed a comprehensive training and certification program focused on delivering care to ensure the best physical and emotional well-being of her patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, solving puzzles, and activities such as camping, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Sherri Swarmer
Relief Veterinarian
Dr. Sherri Swarmer grew up in western Pennsylvania on a small rural property. Her childhood “jobs” were taking care of all animals and the garden. She still loves doing both!
Dr. Swarmer graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Since then, she has remained in the Pacific Northwest, happily helping owners of small animals, mostly dogs, and cats. She loves to explain the “Why?” of things, so go ahead and ask – we dare you.
Currently, Dr. Swarmer runs her own business as a small animal relief veterinarian. She fills in for employees and owners of day practices so they can get a short break periodically. She looks forward to helping you with your pet in the absence of your regular veterinarian!

Dr. Jerry Voorhees
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Voorhees brings 15 years of DVM experience to the Roseway team. His first exposure to veterinary medicine as a young boy was with his Grandfather Voorhees, a large animal rural veterinarian who graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1912.
While an undergraduate student of Science, Dr. Voorhees volunteered for several years at The Marine Mammal Center near San Francisco, CA. It was there that his decision to pursue veterinary medicine as a career was solidified.
He transferred to Oregon State University and finished his bachelor’s degree in Zoology and was then accepted into the veterinary medicine program, followed by graduation in 2006. He has been working in Portland ever since and has acquired a wide-ranging array of surgical and internal medicine experience, with a special interest and attention to surgery.
Dr. Voorhees has an intuitive, gentle, and affable personality with a caring personal nature. He is an animal advocate, 25K trail runner, gardener, musician, and burgeoning carpenter. He and his partner, Christina, share a home in NE Portland with their furry kids Lulu Lucy Lu (the beautiful black boxer mix) and Joey Django Dingo Dog (the big-eared orange kangaroo dog).

Dr. Scott Davis
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Scott T. Davis received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Oregon State University and has been practicing in the Portland community since 1999. Dr. Davis is committed to giving every patient and pet owner the full attention and high-quality medical care and client service they deserve.
Along with his wife, Delaney, Dr. Davis opened Roseway Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2017. Dr. Davis and Delaney have a daughter, a senior-age pug, a rambunctious young lab mix, and a spunky (but cuddly) cat. In his spare time, Dr. Davis enjoys cooking, traveling, and hiking.

Dr. Alex Waroff
Part-Time Veterinarian
Dr. Waroff grew up in the Cascade Mountains of Southern Oregon, closely attached to and learning from the natural world and its wildlife with his two brothers, Nicko and Niss.
He received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Southern Oregon University, hoping to make a difference in wildlife conservation, education, and ecosystem rehabilitation. After spending time working with large carnivores at Wildlife Safari, he studied veterinary medicine at Washington State University. Here he conducted behavior and cognitive research with grizzly bears and obtained his certification in veterinary through the Chi-institute.
Dr. Waroff’s current passions are the yogic sciences, nature, music, athletics, and good people.
